„Altlasten" This German term describes the pollution of soil and groundwater which often results from industrial and business use, but which can also be caused by the deposit of waste. When these areas are re-utilised, this pollution can give rise to considerable expense once industrial safety, environmental protection and possible disposal of the waste are taken into account. Before any change in ownership, suspicious areas should be subject to a full professional investigation – the “Altlastenerkundung”.

 

Herr Diplom-Geologe Uwe Schriefer, geologist and owner of the Sachverständigenbüro Schriefer, has been working in this field for over 17 years, a substantial part of which as Expert for the technical inspection association (TÜV) in Hanover.

 

As well as investigating environmental pollutants, Sachverständigenbüro Schriefer can provide expert advice in the field of near-surface geothermal use (up to 100m below surface). The drilling activities for the installation of the bore hole heat exchangers would be supervised by a technical specialist and the design of the bore hole heat exchangers calculated using special computer software. Sachverständigenbüro Schriefer has acted as agent for heating plant construction companies, drilling companies and earth energy heating plant businesses, making contact with the authorities and dealing with the regulatory requirements.

 

Another important aspect of our expertise is geotechnical engineering.
